About Park Finder
Our Mission
Park Finder helps outdoor enthusiasts discover beautiful, less-crowded alternatives to popular parks. We believe that nature should be accessible to everyone, and that some of the best experiences can be found off the beaten path.
Why We Built This
Popular national and state parks often face overcrowding, especially during peak seasons. While these parks are deservedly famous, there are countless hidden gems nearby that offer equally stunning experiences with far fewer visitors.
Park Finder was created to help you:
- Find parks near you with distance-based search
- Discover alternatives to crowded popular parks
- Search by features and vibes that match your preferences
- Learn about crowd levels to plan the perfect visit
- Explore parks across California, Oregon, Nevada, and Arizona
Our Database
We've curated information on 79 parks including:
- National Parks across the Western United States
- California State Parks from the coast to the mountains
- National Recreation Areas
- Historic Parks and Natural Reserves
Each park includes detailed information about features, activities, accessibility, entrance fees, and current crowd levels.
