Hidden in a lush Big Sur canyon, Limekiln preserves historic lime kilns from the 1880s alongside redwood groves and a beautiful waterfall. Limekiln Creek flows through the park to the ocean, creating a unique ecosystem where redwoods meet the sea. The short hike to Limekiln Falls rewards with a 100-foot cascade, while the beach offers tide pooling and stunning coastal views. This small park packs tremendous diversity: inland forest trails, historic industrial archaeology, and rocky coastline all within a compact area.
